The Killers
A popular rock quartet from Las Vegas first made itself known in 2002, performing in numerous clubs of the city. Not only charisma and persistence but a perfect style and nice vocal contributed to the band’s growing popularity. Indi-pop-rock of the young guys won the hearts of both the club public and record companies, including the famous Warner Bros Company. One can not say that the studio representative was impressed by the works of new singers but he did not refuse to consider their record in the British branch of the company.
However, the band released the first album«Hot Fuss» under the label Lizard King Records that took place in 2004. At that time, the singles of the group reached the tops of charts. The quartet’s debut album turned to be so successful and popular that the company had to release additional copies.
During all following years, The Killers worked hard and enjoyed the beams of its results, and received the most prestigious music awards. The second album of the band was released in 2005. It was titled Sam’s Town and lived up to the expectations of musicians as well as their producer. The album turned to be one of the best-selling not only in the United States but in many European countries. Its singles took hold at the leading positions of the charts. Famous Tim Barton took interest in making videoclips. He created a video to the song “Bones”.
The music style of the young but already successful band combines sounding of guitars with elements of dancing music, electronics and alternative soundings. Pop music fans as well as rock admirers can take to them right away that was confirmed by over ten million sold copies of the album.
One can state that the band’s success was achieved in the period of the public’s interest to corresponding music directions and that was absolutely true. However, the talent of the four guys can not be objected. The fact that their creative work won the hearts of listeners and took interest of well-known record labels within a short period of time speaks volumes. In such a way, the guys from Nevada, who recorded their first album in Britain, became popular not only in their home country but among music fans of the neighboring continent. Their songs are played on radio, videoclips appear on the most popular TV channels, and, fortunately, they are not going to stop their career in the nearest future.
