A young Netherlander, Armin Van Buuren, differed from his peers perhaps only in his passionate ardour for music. He, like most of teenagers of his age, was interested in movies and computer games, visited parties and courted girls. In 1997, when he was 18 years old, he recorded a composition titled «Blue Fear» on Cyber Records label that entered the UK chart and opened before him new wide horizons.
Of course it wasn't the first musical experience of a young man; he recorded tracks and author's compositions before, using equipment bought for his own account. However the first real success became a basis for further Armin's achievements and next track «Communication» recorded on Cyber Records resounded on the festival in Ibiza, held in 1999.
At the age of 22 Armin Van Buuren formed his own label - Armind together with United Recordings and the first its release was a great success among general public. Having started his acting as a producer and entrepreneur, Armin Van Buuren very soon scored an impressive success – his modest undertakings turned into a real empire Armada Music including a lot of subsidiaries. The direction of Armin's company activity is trance-music, the favourite style of European lovers of electronic music, and labels included into his recording corporation are known as the best trance-labels in Europe.
However, doing business, Armin Van Buuren hasn't put aside his own musical activity releasing regularly tracks under different stage names. In 2001 he ranked among the best DJs of the world and didn't leave the list for long years, having reached even the first position. He also known for his works made together with his colleagues including a famous DJ Tiesto with whom he worked at the beginning of the current century under stage name Alibi.
He also actively performs in clubs of Great Britain and travels around the world taking part in concerts and festivals of Europe, America and Asia. You may see him at the most cool club parties of Crete and Ibiza... In a word, Armin Van Buuren leads a very eventful life not forgetting about his own business as well as his outstanding music works. His track «Tuvan» was voted the best track of 2009 and in September 2010 he released his fourth studio album titled «Mirage» and travelled the world with a promotion tour.
