A famous hip-hop performer Fabolous (born John Jackson) owes not only his persistence and diligence but also a famous GJ Clue his popularity. The latter allowed Fabolous not only to record under label Desert Storm but also helped a young talent to build up by advertising and promoting him into life.
Under guidance of Clue and applying maximum efforts Fabolous made his debut from the 4th position in the Billboard 200 Chart with the album "Ghetto Fabolous" that was released on a tragic day as of September 11, 2001. As of album's singles, it is worthy to mention "I Can’t Deny It" owing to which the listeners, as a matter of fact, familiarized with a rather distinctive style of performance of Fabolous.
The performer was not even 25 years old when he, for the first time, was mentioned by the Rolling Stone magazine as one of the most outstanding young hip-hop talent and in 2002 he was on the cover of The Source magazine and became a star of Reebok advertising campaign. Despite of some naivety of sounding of his first album, Fabolous, nevertheless, acquired the first but quite numerous fans who gladly and with enthusiasm met his next album being released in 2003.
A studio composition entitled «Street Dreams» also could boast of rather big sales. Fabolous was noticed in a company of such rap and hip-hop gurus as Diddy and Snoop Dog. After all, the two first albums of the performer were certified platinum and the third Fabolous's album - «Real Talk» - though was not honoured with platinum, made a lot of critics and listeners look at a young singer's works from a new point of view, listen attentively to his texts and estimate the musician's many-sided works. Notwithstanding that, on the whole, this work was unnoticed by many, nevertheless, true fans remembered a video to the song «Do The Damn Thang» as well as a high-quality and very popular for some time single «Breathe».
It is not known exactly why, after the release of his gold for now «Real Talk», a newcomer star Fabolous fell silent for several years. Later on, while he was not forgotten, he represented his fourth album entitled «From Nothing To Something». According to experts, he shows maturation as a singer and lessening, in the course of time, of his categorical views. However, a long recess and some changes in a creative plot didn't impede Fabolous to start with his new work from the number-two on the Billboard Chart.
Perhaps, he will be offered an opportunity to reveal all sides of his talent however, at present Fabolous is more taken as a good enough though not full-fledged alternative of Jay-Z. At the same time his fans sincerely hope that, sooner or later, their idol will make a real breakthrough being ranked among the world stars of rap and hip-hop.
