Alan Jackson
Alan Jackson

Alan Jackson was born in 1958 in Newman, Georgia. His passion to music was noticed by his friends and relatives when the most world-famous country singer was a child. But at that time he was not going to launch the music career and Alan, like all American children, finished school and entered the college.

At the age of 20 the future musician realized that there was a little something wanting in his life and he traveled to Nashville to find his formula of success. By that time he had known that music would finally become his main reason to live. But not all friends of Alan agreed with him. It took the talented guy from Newman 10 years to become a megastar of the world country stage. In 1989, Alan Jackson eventually signed the contract with Arista Records Company and suddenly became a star.

Jackson’s first studio record brought him the success. In 1990, his song “Here in the Real World” was number-one hit in many hit-parades of USA and other countries of the world. Winning the hearts of listeners, Alan was always first, and that was one of the most striking debuts in the country music history.

In the following years, the singer released several albums, the total number of which is 22 currently. Almost all of them were very successful and headed charts of some countries and worldwide. All his performances were greeted with standing ovations, and millions of albums’ copies were sold out. In total, Alan Jackson, the star of American country music, sold 40 million CDs worldwide. It may be said that the years of efforts and expectations were repaid by the years of popularity and recognition.

Today Alan Jackson, who makes a noise in the world, is a favorite singer of many fans of country music in his home country as well as across the sea. His last studio work – the album titled Like Red On A Rose, released in 2006, still appears on different radio stations. Alan’s works often become a real finding for many people, who treated country music as music of American farmers, and cardinally change an idea of this music direction and enable people to evaluate and learn closer its unique and imitable coloring.

The last album of the musician, titled Freight Train, was released in 2010. It seems that Alan Jackson, despite his considerable age, is going strong and his songs are still popular with music fans worldwide.
