An owner of a velvet voice, who looks like a typical Spanish Lovelace, a singer Alejandro Fernandez, better known as Alex Fernandez, began to sing at the early age. Being four-years-old kid, he came on a big stage with his father, an iconic singer of Mexico City, Vicente Fernandez and sang along with him, entertaining listeners and audience. There is nothing strange that when Alejandro grew up, he decided to pursue family traditions and to get into music.
He recorded his first song in a duet with his father. It was titled “Amor de los dos” translated as “Our Love”. At that time the young singer was 19, soon after successful “Amor de los dos”, he recorded an album, which included a song performed by Alex alone. It may be said that a song “El Andariego” (“Wanderer”) became a studio debut of the young musician. In two years this work was followed by the next one, of a larger scale. Alejandro Fernandez released a self-titled album. To support and make it popular, Alejandro began a tour in Mexico and some neighboring countries of the United States. The young singer’s talent and soft and pure vocal captured the attention of a wide audience and became rather popular not only in its home country.
Alejandro Fernandez followed up his success with his second album Piel de Nina(“The Girl’s Skin”), which was released soon after the first one. Although the musician highly appreciated his belonging to the original Mexican music traditions, he wanted to refresh his repertoire. Collaborating with popular Mexican composers, he recorded several successful songs and released two new albums Que Seas Muy Feliz and Muy Dentro de mi Corazon. The second one was certified twice platinum. It may be said that these two albums were a new stage in the musician’s career and opened up new opportunities. Such songs as “La Mitad que me Faltaba”, “Nube Viajera”, “Es la Mujer”, and other excited admiration of a wide audience not only in the musician’s home country but beyond it.
Alejandro Fernandez released his next album titled “Me Estoy Enamorando”, translated as “I’m Falling in Love”. This work was a sort of a critical stage in the singer’s career, combination of old traditions and new fashionable soundings. He presented it on the European stage and won the love of music fans across the sea. The album was certified manifold platinum, 2.5 million copies were sold worldwide. Alejandro Fernandez’s manner was recognized unique in its way both by critics and fans.
Alejandro Fernandez used his original style of performance recording an album Mi Verdad that was met wit a bang just as the rest his albums. This album launched another series of the Mexican singer’s success. It may be said that Alejandro’s velvet voice gives no peace to those, who are in love with his works to the present day. Alex Fernandez himself is one of the most popular Spanish language singers in the world.
