Bob Sinclar
Bob Sinclar, born Christophe Le Friant. He is mainly known as a DJ and producer, the founder of the famous label «Yellow Productions»; his numerous alter egos were quite scandalous. Not that scandalous, but rather, his stage name was cloaked in mystery at first; after all, only recently it has become known that Bob Sinclar (or Sinclair) was a fictional persona and all of his adventures belong to the legendary Chris Le Friant.
However, nobody can deny that Bob Sinclar got talent. Let us recall the famous «Love Generation» - a song which became a worldwide hit of the beginning of the 21st century; the track could be heard just about everywhere, with the audience gratefully appreciating the quality electronic music. «Love generation» was a huge success around the world, being among the most popular songs in many countries and in almost every inhabited continent, and also became the anthem of the FIFA World Cup, held in 2006.
Frequenter of the most famous clubs in the world, Bob Sinclar is an electronic dance music’s avid fan. His compositions could be heard on the world’s best dance floors, the song «World, Hold On» was named the best dance hit of 2006, despite the fact that the other nominees were the magnificent Madonna and the popular Christina Aguilera. At the same time, Bob Sinclar actively collaborates with his fellow artists, having the well-known singers from Europe and the U.S feature on his compositions.
In 2007 he released an album called «Soundz of Freedom». One of the tracks out this CD - the song called «Rock This Party» - reached number 1 in the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. Two years later, with the release of his latest album, the single «Lala Song» turned out to be among the most demanded hits.
Considering these facts, it is rather strange that to this very day Bob Sinclar has not received a single Grammy, although he was nominated twice. For the first time in 2006 with the single «World, Hold On», and in 2010 with a new album «Made in Jamaica», which included both DJ’s new songs and his best hits from the previous years.
However, in spite of all this, today Bob Sinclar remains well known and just as popular. In 2011, he released a successful remix of Italian actress and singer Raffaella Carrà’s song called «A far l'amore comincia tu» renamed «Far l'amore». At the moment, Bob Sinclar continues to work and perform. His numerous fans are looking forward to hear new dance hits.
