David Guetta

The modern music world makes a feature to the club music genre. Among a great number of DJs only David Guetta is worthy of being pointed out. His works have been known to fans of this genre far beyond France, David’s motherland, for a long time.
Music became interesting to Guetta when he was a teenager. At еру age of 17 he started working as a DJ in one of the Parisian clubs. The genre of house music became a real breakthrough for the newly-minted DJ. Guetta was under impression of a track «Love Can’t Turn Around» performed by Farley Jackmaster Funk. Guetta spent the 80s in the active work – he worked in clubs and on the radio, and arranged parties.

In the beginning of the 90s, Guetta tried to write his own music. The first single «Up & Away» was released in 1994. «Test of the pen» turned to be successful and David kept on building his career presenting his sets in France as well as on other European stages. David Guetta released his first solo album Just a Little More Love in 2002. The most popular singles of this album were «Love Don't Let Me Go», «People Come, People Go», and «Give Me Something».

One of the most important periods of David Guetta’s work is a remix of David Bowie’s song «Just For One Day» (2003). Guetta called his compilation to this track «Fuck Me I’m Famous». In no time this remix became popular and Guetta started its promotion at the fanciest club parties of London and Ibiza.
In 2004, the second solo album Guetta Blaster was released. This album turned to be extremely successful – a track «The World Is Mine» became a real hymn of clubbing. The world-famous designer John Galliano used a song «Love Don’t Let Me Go» as the background music for one of his fashion shows. The third album Pop Life was released in 2007. Its most popular tracks were «Baby When The Light», «Delirious», and «Tomorrow Can Wait». Apart from his solo works, Guetta actively cooperates with other world artists. One of examples of such works is producing of a song «I Gotta Feeling» of Black Eyed Peas (2009). The song was on the tops of many charts in 17 countries.
In 2009, Guetta’s fourth solo album One Love was released. This album was more popular with fans of dance club music – in December, it was nominated for Grammy in four categories and earned an award for The Best Remix («When Love Takes Over»).

In 2010, Guetta re-released his fourth album. The CD was titled One More Love, which included both the songs from One Love album and new tracks, such as «Commander» (featuring Kelly Rowland), «Who’s That Chick?» (featuring Rihanna), and «Club Can't Handle Me» (featuring Flo Rida).
