Enrique Iglesias

Enrique Iglesias is the best selling Latin-American singer in the world. His talent was noticed in the early childhood. His first acting in a school musical impressed all spectators. At that time he started writing songs. Enrique Iglesias signed his first demo-records by the name “Enrique Martinez” as he did not want his father’s popularity to influence his career. His first album was released in 1995 and was titled Enrique Iglesias. This album was the first success of the young singer. Besides big sales, it earned Enrique a Grammy Award in 1996. The next album was Vivir (1997), which was also a success. Three singles topped Billboard Hot Latin Tracks hit parade, namely «Enamorado Por Primera Vez», «Sólo En Ti» and «Miente». According to the sales results, this album leveled Enrique Iglesias and English language superstars. In 1998, the third album Cosas del Amor was released. Iglesias released two singles «Esperanza» and «Nunca Te Olvidaré», which topped Latin-American charts. Inspired by the success of first three Spanish language albums, Enrique decided to release an English language album. A song «Bailamos», the soundtrack of the movie Wild Wild West, became a debut single for the English language market. Success and popularity of the first English language single exceeded expectations. After signing a contract with a large Record Company, Enrique released his first English language album Enrique (1999). The album topped hit-parades of Canada, USA, Germany, Italy, and many other countries. One of the bright singles of this album was a duet with Whitney Houston titled «Could I Have This Kiss Forever». Singles «Rhythm Divine» and «Be With You» were also released.

The next album Escape (2001) beat all the records in popularity and sales in comparison with all previous albums. This time Enrique was a co-author of many songs. The first single was «Hero», which became a mega-hit in many countries in no time. Singles «Escape», «Don't Turn Off The Lights», «Maybe», «Love to See You Cry», and the duet with Lionel Richie «To Love a Woman» were successful and popular with admirers. In 2002, Iglesias released his next Spanish language album Quizás, and in 2003, an English language album, titled 7, was released. The first single was «Addicted», after – «Not in Love». Insomniac (2007) was Enrique Iglesias’ fourth English language album. The brightest songs of this album were a duet with the rapper Lil Wayne – «Push», «Ring My Bells», and «Tired of Being Sorry». The single «Can You Hear Me» became an official hymn of the World Football Championship 2008. The hits album, released in 2008, included the most popular Spanish language songs and two new tracks titled «Dónde Están Corazón» and «Lloro Por Ti». In 2009, Enrique released an album of the best English language songs, which also, besides the known tracks, included two new songs titled «Away» with Sean Garrett and «Takin' Back My Love» featuring Ciara. In 2010, Enrique Iglesias released his first album Euphoria, which included both Spanish and English language songs. The first single was a duet with the famous Dominican singer Juan Luis Guerra titled «Cuando Me Enamoro». The second single was «I Like it» recorded with Pitbull. Later on, such songs as «Heartbeat» (featuring Nicole Scherzinger), «No Me Digas Que No», and «Dirty Dancer» (duet with Usher) were released.
