Among rappers, emerged on the scene recently and noticed by major record companies, it is impossible not to mention Tramar Dillard performing under his stage name Flo Rida. When a child he grew up under the patronage of five sisters who applied singing and that's way little Tramar was also engaged in music. No, he didn't sing in a choir and groups but already in school he began to take an interest in rap music. At that time he began to undertake the first conscious steps in the direction of fame and acknowledgement. But they were too timid that somebody would notice and appreciate according to deserts a future star Flo Rida.
His «school» rap group didn't exist for a long time. At the age of 18 Tramar Dillard appeared among members of a scandalous rap-band «2 Live Crew». This band was widely known in the USA as well as beyond the borders of the country not so much for the talent of its members as for sharp obscene texts owing to which «2 Live Crew» very often turned out in the centre of public scandals and even lawsuits. As a matter of fact, just that collaboration with these musical hooligans was the beginning of a real career of Flo Rida. However, attempts to force the way to the world of music were unsuccessful for musicians. Because of severe competition and vigorous activity of famous rap performers Flo Rida again and again remained overboard. Having decided to postpone his musical career, he set closely to his education, trying to establish himself not only as a musician. He also wrote songs for label's performers.
However, Flo Rida didn't remain in the shadow for a long time. In 2006, having released several tracks together with famous DJs of Florida, he signed a contract with a rather famous label «Poe Boy Entertainment». In 2007, together with the rapper T-Pain he recorded the single «Low» that reached a number-one on the charts of America, Australia, Canada and Great Britain. A year of 2008 was marked by the single «Elevator» featuring famous Timbaland.
This work turned out not so successful as the previous one but a debut album of a rising star «Mail on Sunday», released under label Atlantic in the same year, was certified gold. It was observed in the charts of the USA as well as many other countries of Europe including Great Britain. The album took the forth position on the Billboard 200 and the second place on the American Billboard Top Rap Albums. A year of 2009 was also successful for Flo Rida. This year he released his second album entitled «R.O.O.T.S.» and made several videos – «Sugar», «Jump», «Bad Boys», «Good Girls Like Bad Boys» and many others.
In the past as well as at present he tries to perform and record songs together with stars, considering, probably, that it is a key to success. Perhaps, he's right as leading rappers do not refuse participation with Flo Rida which means that there is something about this guy...
Though his career develops with varying success (as it is known the album «Only One Flo (Part 1)», released in 2010, turned out not so successful as previous ones) but he keeps working indefatigably. In 2011 he released several singles and shot several videos including «Who Dat Girl», «Where Them Girls At» and others that were made on a high-quality professional level.
