Kelly Clarkson

Most people do not know that the world lost a marine biologist in the person of Kelly Clarkson as when she was a schoolgirl, her teacher discovered Kelly’s musical talent. Few people know how much effort the young girl, who just graduated from high school, had to exert for reaching a big stage. But now, when Kelly is known both in USA and beyond her home land, it may be said that her efforts availed her.
In 2000, the young singer launched her career with a demorecord, which record companies met without a great enthusiasm. Doing her best for embodying her inborn talents, Kelly tried herself in Hollywood but, eventually, had to come back to native Texas as a movie world did not live up to her expectations.
Only her second attempt to win the public recognition may be regarded as successful. In 2002, Kelly Clarkson won a popular American TV show American Idol, in which young talents competed with each other. Soon after, Kelly’s single “A Moment Like This” was among five leaders of American Top 40 but then it suddenly gave ground… However, the singer had already captured the public attention.
Producers Rett Lorence and Cliff Magness could not allow the girl to fall into oblivion. Soon after, for the moment Kelly’s popularity ups and downs were not forgotten yet, she recorded a song “Miss Independent” that was very popular with American listeners. Perhaps, the secret lied in the fact that the famous pop star Christina Aguilera helped to work at it but Kelly’s contribution is also difficult to overemphasize. Working hard, the singer finally began to get results of her efforts – she reached number one on American Top 10 and spent there not a couple of days but three weeks.
On the 15th of April, 2003, Kelly Clarkson recorded her debut album Thankful with the support of Lorence and Magness. It had become twice platinum by December of that year. Two years later, the singer not only equaled but surpassed set records with her second album Breakaway. Several songs from this album became world super hits in no time.
One song after another headed Top 10. The singer’s absolute record is number one during 6 weeks. Due to this record, Kelly Clarkson became a sensation of 2005 and left behind even famous Mariah Carey. Breakaway became five times platinum in USA and Canada during 2006. In the same year, Kelly earned a Grammy Award for The Best Pop-Artist and The Best Female Pop-Album. Upon that, Kelly Clarkson followed up her star status not once, topping music charts with her new singles. She still stands out from a great variety of new stars of the world music horizon.
