Laura Pausini is an Italian singer, who produces music mainly in Italian, Spanish, French, and Portuguese languages. Her father, a musician, wanted her daughter to be a singer. At first, Laura performed with her father, chiefly in bars and restaurants, and later, she sang on the stage alone. When she participated in the music competition in 1991, Laura captured the attention of producers and they offered her to record several songs. One of such songs was «La Solitudine», which is still considered to be one of the best works of the Italian singer. Afterwards, she released three albums – Spanish language versions of her Italian albums – Las cosas que vives, Mi respuesta, and Entre tú y mil mares. The first English language song was Laura’s hit «La solitudine» titled «The Loneliness».
