LMFAO is an original American duet, which became famous for bringing new electronic notes into the traditional sounding of rap music. The band’s history begins in sunny California where two club “live wires” Redfoo and Sky Blu (who were relatives) warmed up the crowd, using original techniques that made their shows striking and remarkable. They say that at the beginning of their career clubs burst with people wanting to see the performance of namely these DJs. And this was a great spur for the guys to achieve more important and global goals.

One must mention enthusiasm and huge ambitions of new superstars, who applied all their talent and everburning eagerness to gain the popularity. Members of LMFAO tried to prove themselves as the kings of any party, believing soundly they deserved that. The guys performed at festivals and communicated with their fans. In 2007, they were lucky to be participants of the famous festival in Miami. After performing at this festival, LMFAO came back to native Los Angeles, having real prospects to reach the big stage.

Keeping on entertaining and shocking the public by their impudent tricks, DJs finally decided to record a joint album and did it in 2009. The album Party Rock, released under the label Interscope, consisted of fifteen popular songs of musicians, including the famous single “I’m In Miami Bitch”, which became a kind of the duet’s signature. Being the first joint-recorded single of LMFAO, it had good sales on the territory of USA and peaked at number 51 in Top Sales. It was played on the dance floors of America so often that the public had nothing else to do but love it. In the same 2009, LMFAO was nominated for Grammy Award in the category The Best Dance Album that was an unexpected but rather confident step of guys on their way to the world popularity.

Continuing to play and make experiments with combination of hip hop and electronics, LMFAO steadily went up in charts of USA and European countries, including Great Britain. After two-year break in studio works, the guys eventually released their second full-featured album under the original title Sorry for Party Rocking. Unlike the previous work, this album received controversial comments of critics. Someone (for example, representatives of Billboard magazine) stated that this album was more striking, structured and experimental than the previous one. However, there were those (for an instance, representatives of Rolling Stone magazine), who criticized the album, claiming that an extraordinary mix of rap and electronics exceeded all limits and redundant experiments of the album did not play into the hands of LMFAO’s members.

But in any way, the duet is widely-known nowadays. Although American experimentalists released two albums only, people talk and write about them. They actively communicate with the public and presented their mini works on youtube. Their numerous fans hope that the band LMFAO has just taken run and soon this talented duet from Los Angeles will be on the lips of the whole world.
