For many lovers of Latin American music and films Miguel Bose is if not a cult figure but, at least, a famous personality contributed a lot to art development. Since his early childhood, surrounded by musicians and literary men, directors and film actors, he, one can say, imbibed with his mother's milk aspiration for fame and popularity. And his talent that he inherited after his "star" parents-actors didn't go to waste and became his true assistant on his way to acknowledgement.
Born in 1956, Miguel Bose for the first time made himself known as a singer in 1975. He was lucky to sign a contract with CBS Records, collaboration with which lasted until 1984. During this period he released several albums, acted in films and toured through different countries. And, at last, in 1985 he gained a status of the world star, having performed the famous song «Amante Bandido».
Having a showy and photogenic appearance, Miguel Bose fitted ideally into the film industry, having participating in several famous films (such as "High Heels" and "Queen Margot") and received several prizes and awards. However, music remained the main priority of Bose even when his career in cinema promised to be triumphal and, having worked properly on his image, at the beginning of the 1990s he again reminded of himself. This time - by winning the prestigious music festival «Festivalbar» in 1994.
And at the beginning of a new century Miguel Bose reminds of himself regularly with new albums, singles and achievements. For example, in 2003 he received Latin Grammy Award (and another one in 2007, for all this he was many times nominated in different categories), a lot of European singers as well as music bands consider it an honour to perform on the same stage with him and his name is known among film admirers – of both full-format and short films.
In total, during his still continuing music career Miguel Bose released 21 albums and participated in more than 30 films. Perhaps, the fact that his godfather was a famous Italian director Luchino Visconti didn't go to waste for Miguel. He managed to score a success in the field of cinematography as well as music. Moreover, it is nice to realize that at present Miguel Bose is not going to retire, continuing to gladden his fans with compositions of high quality in different genres and directions.
