Sahara
Many fans of the modern popular music have got used to the fact that the music industry goes hand in hand with film, television, and model business. There are a few TV and fashion stars, who did not try themselves in acting. Sahara is not an exception and today she builds a rather successful career of a pop singer.
Sahara, whose real name is Theodora Rumenova Andreeva (Andrea), was born in the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia city in 1987. When Theodora was a child, her parents helped her to discover the world of the creative work and art, music and dance, and a spectacular world of beauty and fashion. Being a teenager, she participated in regional and state beauty contests and won them. And at the age of 18, she signed a contract with a well-known model agency and became a cover girl of many glamour magazines, coming before the audience in various images – from rough and impudent to tender and romantic ones.
A year later, in 2006, Sahara decided to launch a music career and began to sing. Shortly after that, the singer signed a contract with a Bulgarian music label Payner that worked with both new and professional artists, who want to develop their abilities. Before the release of her first album, Sahara recorded several singles and made a couple of videos with a quite qualitative video sequence. In 2008, she, finally, released her debut album titled Огън в кръвта, which included 15 popular songs. In the same year, she featured in a new videoclip to the song “I am a reason” and her list of videos grew steadily. Apart from that, Sahara kept on working as a model, shooting for magazines and booklets.
In 2009, the model and singer released he next album titled Мен си търсил. It was rather good-selling and the singer more and more often appeared on the stage and in a live television broadcast. She performed not alone but in tandems with popular Bulgarian and foreign singers, made a video and prepared for the creation of a new album.
By the way, it was not a long time coming. In 2010, the third album, titled Andrea, appeared on the market and included 12 songs. They, just as Sahara’s other singles, are mainly about love and people’s relationships. Her videos are also dedicated to this topic.
