Beyonce Knowles is a famous American singer, actress, and producer. Since her childhood Beyonce took part in various singing competitions. At the age of 6 Beyonce won a school song contest. Beyonce’s father, seeing the talent of his daughter, decided that a girl group would be more successful and organized an audition. One of the members was a distant relative Kelly Rowland. Another four girls, apart from Rowland, were taken to the group. The group got the name Girls Tyme. Later, the group changed its members and name for Destiny's child. Their debut album was released in 1998. The girl group had a great success, their songs became known throughout the world. In 2001, Destiny's child earned two Grammys for the single «Say My Name». In spite of the striking success, the group members, including Beyonce, decided to launch a solo career. Acting in films and ads, and joint works with a popular rapper and Beyonce’s husband-to-be Jay-Z went before the debut album. In 2002, their joint work “Bonnie & Clyde 03” was released. But Beyonce’s triumph was the next single “Crazy In Love” (also featuring Jay-Z). It was followed by the first album Dangerously In Love (2003). The album became the real breakthrough of the year and earned her five Grammys at the annual Grammy Awards. Another successful single from this album was the song «Baby Boy» (featuring Sean Paul). Her next success in a solo career was the second album B'Day (2006). Also, Beyonce was a co-author of most of the songs in this album. The most popular singles were «Déjà Vu» (featuring Jay-Z), «Beautiful Liar», and «Irreplaceable». In 2007, this album earned Beyonce a Grammy Award. In 2008, the singer released her third album I Am… Sasha Fierce. As Beyonce said Sasha Fierce was her stage twin. The album’s songs, namely a ballad «If I Were a Boy», a bride hymn «Single Ladies», and a feeling single “Halo”, were listed on the most famous world charts and took rightful positions on their tops.
Beyonce confirmed her status of an outstanding singer by her own record – in 2010, she earned six Grammys at Grammy Awards. Also, Beyonce had a successful duet with outrageous Lady Gaga – they appeared together in the video to the song «Video Phone». After a short break, Beyonce prepares for the release of her fourth studio album. The album’s title single is «Run the World (Girls)».
