Ciara dreamt to become famous since her early childhood. At first, she wanted to be a model but, being fond of Janet Jackson and Destiny's Child, Ciara decided to become a singer. The first step to her dream carrying out was her participation in a girl group Hearsay. Although, the group recorded several demotracks, the girls disbanded soon. But Ciara took a strong decision to realize her target. As the future star had the all round talent, she launched her activity as a songwriter. At this period the most notable work was a song «Got Me Waiting» written for an American singer Fantasia Barrino. At this stage Ciara met a musical producer Jazz Fa and in 2002, they recorded several demotracks, which would be included into Ciara’s debut album. The singer released her first album Goodies in 2004. The title single of the self-titled album took the tops of hit-parades in USA, England, and Canada. Critics called this song one of the best singles of the year. The second single «1,2 Step», recorded with a popular hip-hop singer Missy Elliott, was not less successful. This song was also nominated for The Best Rap/Song at Grammy Awards. In March 2005, the third single of the debut album «Oh» featuring Ludacris was released. This track continued the success of two previous singles and became a hit in many countries.
In 2005, Ciara took part in the first solo tour of Gwen Stefani called Harajuku Lovers Tour and in Holiday Jam Tour with Chris Brown and rapper Bow Wow. Ciara kept on working with other artists and helped to record some tracks – a single of Missy Elliott «Lose Control» and «Like You» featuring Bow Wow. In 2006, the single «Lose Control» earned her and Missy Elliott Grammy for The Best Short Musical Video. Ciara’s second studio album Ciara: The Evolution was released in 2006. A song «Get Up» featuring a famous American rapper Chamillioner became its title single. Ciara organized The Evolution Tour in support of the album, giving concerts in seventeen clubs in different cities of America. In 2009, Ciara’s third album Fantasy Ride was released. The first single of the album was a song «Never ever» featuring Young Jeezy. But the real world hit was the second single of the album titled «Love Sex Magic» featuring Justin Timberlake. In addition to its popularity, the song was nominated for Grammy in two categories. Another successful duet was a single «Takin' Back My Love» performed together with Enrique Iglesias. Ciara’s fourth album Basic Instinct was released in the end of 2010. This album was not as successful as the previous ones, though, the album’s title single «Ride» featuring Ludacris earned her several awards.
